VITA-2011 (Deadline: July 9, 2010)
This grant funds projects that enable the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to extend services to underserved populations in hardest-to-reach areas, both urban and non-urban; increase the capacity to prepare and file federal tax returns electronically; heighten quality control; enhance training of volunteers; and significantly improve the accuracy of returns prepared at VITA sites. | Innovations in American Government Award (Application Deadline: Sept. 12, yearly) Funding from Harvard University's Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation will support government innovation and creative problem solving. Applications are accepted year-round, with September 12 being the cut-off between cycles. |
