League of Women Voters Affidavit Tracker

Alameda County, CA
Program Year: 2018

Abstract:
The League of Women Voters is one of the major voter registration drive coordinators in Alameda County. The League attend events and popular sites to distribute voter registration cards to members of the public who are not registered to vote. Based on the number of registration cards that are distributed, the League receives compensation from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters (ROV). This outreach is important as it is inclusive of individuals who have English as a second language, and are more likely to not be registered to vote. The affidavits are distributed in eight different languages as mandated by the State of California. This new system allows users to record distributed voter registration cards (affidavits), create an order for new registration cards, create new distribution sites or events, create and edit leagues, create and edit users, generate reports and finally generate invoices for payment by ROV. Data is organized by Leagues, and data visibility is determined by League assignment. The system allows both the League of Women Voters and ROV to track progress and record all aspects of the process, and facilitiates the Leage of Women Voters to focus more on registration than on paperwork and administration.
